HubSpot's September Updates

Written by Thomas Emmerson | 30-Sep-2025 01:21:03
Let’s dive into the latest HubSpot product enhancements designed to empower your teams. As most of the businesses we work with are using Sales, Marketing, Content, and Service Hub Professional we have focused on updates involving these tools.

Please note, additional releases in Private Beta are not included. We can share these in a one-to-one setting as access to Private Betas is tightly controlled.

[Public Beta] Granular Deployment Controls for Sandbox to Production

Granular deployment controls allow you to select and deploy individual object subcomponents from your sandbox to production, rather than deploying all available changes for an object at once.

[Public Beta] User-Level Ticket Visibility in Customer Portal - Service PRO

User-level ticket permissions gives you more control over ticket visibility in the customer portal. Previously, you could only set ticket visibility for contacts to view all organisation tickets or their own tickets. Now, you can assign access at the individual user level, so managers, admins, or designated users can see all tickets, while others only see their own.

[Public Beta] Generate calculated property formulas with AI

Building a custom equation for a calculated property can be time-consuming. With this feature, you can simply describe what you're looking to calculate, and HubSpot will build a formula for you to test and modify.

[Public Beta] Availability Status Selector: Set Temporary "Away" Status - Service PRO

We’re pleased to introduce an Away Timer, a new enhancement to the availability status selector in the Help Desk Workspace. Service seated users can now set themselves to “Away” for a specific time duration, after which they’ll automatically be returned to “Available” status. This reduces the risk of being left unavailable unintentionally and gives user greater control during short breaks.

[Public Beta] Create and Apply Credit Memos to One-Time Invoices

Credit memos enable you to record adjustments that reduce customer balances due to overpayments, pre-payments, or other corrections. You can apply credits directly to invoices to keep your financial records accurate.

[Public Beta] In-Person Meeting Notetaker (iOS only)
The In-Person AI Meeting Notetaker brings the power of HubSpot AI to face-to-face sales conversations. Mobile reps can now capture real-time voice transcriptions through the HubSpot mobile app to automatically generate post-meeting summaries and email them to all participants. To alleviate privacy concerns, meeting captures are automatically deleted once summarisation is complete. No more manual admin after an in-person meeting.

[Live] Custom SCIM Integration - PRO+

Provisioning users through SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) provides a secure and automated way to create and manage HubSpot users, speeding up the process and helping to get new users into HubSpot.

[Live] Sync your Third Party Transcripts for Meetings & Calls to HubSpot with our new API

HubSpot's public API now allows partners to seamlessly import their transcription data directly into the platform. Partners who provide meeting and call transcripts can sync this valuable content with HubSpot, enabling users to maintain comprehensive records of customer engagements and leverage transcript data across HubSpot's feature suite.

Access our Third-Party Transcription API to ingest external meeting and call transcripts into HubSpot. This solution gives partners and customers greater control over their transcription data while ensuring seamless integration with existing workflows. This API currently powers the HubSpot apps for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Aircall.

[Live] NEW! Rich Text Formatting in the Customer Portal

We’re excited to share that the customer portal composer just got an upgrade. We added rich text formatting to the composer. Clients can now bold, italicise, hyperlink, and do much more to make their messages clearer and easier to follow.

[Live] Smart Properties: Contact Object Support - uses Credits

Smart properties for Contacts unlocks new ways to personalise outreach, segment your database, and automate workflows without manual data entry or cleanup. Smart properties on contact records saves time and gives you actionable, contextual data by automatically populating the information that's most relevant to your business.

[Live] AI-Powered Video Marketing - Content/Marketing/Service PRO+

We are introducing a new set of video features that streamline marketers' workflows: publish search-optimized content faster, manage video editing, and measure performance across channels. Combined with our new clip editor, HubSpot is the ultimate destination for our customers' marketing videos

[Live] AI Referrals in Website Traffic Analytics

AI referrals are now surfaced as a dedicated traffic source within your website analytics. This enhancement enables you to identify visitors arriving via leading AI platforms, such as ChatGPT and Perplexity, by automatically detecting traffic from recognised AI domains and categorising them in your reports. By distinguishing AI-driven sessions from traditional channels, your team can gain deeper insight into how generative AI tools are driving engagement and informing digital strategy.

[Live] Association actions now support the Lead object - PRO+

You can now use association actions in lead based workflows. Additionally, the Lead object may now be used as the associated record in any of the association actions. Actions affected include
  • Create associations
  • Apply association labels
  • Update association labels
  • Remove association labels

[Sunset] Sunset: HubSpot scoring

The HubSpot scoring property is being deprecated and replaced by lead scoring, customer scoring, and a unified score. Talk to your agency rep about implementing the new scoring system.

[Upcoming Sunset] Sunset: Classic/Legacy CRM Cards built with CRM extensions API

Beginning 16 June 2025, Classic CRM Cards will begin their deprecation period ahead of their complete retirement on 31 October 2026. These longstanding static cards—limited to the right sidebar and only a select set of standard CRM objects—are being phased out as HubSpot evolves towards more powerful, interactive App Cards. Built on React and leveraging new UI extension capabilities, App Cards offer a richer, more flexible user experience and have gained significant traction among developers.

Key milestone dates:

- From 16 June 2025, newly submitted apps to the HubSpot App Marketplace will not be permitted to include Classic CRM Cards for listings or certification.

- Classic CRM Cards can no longer be added to the HubSpot UI from this date.

- Marketplace apps currently utilising Classic CRM Cards may continue to do so until 31 October 2026. After this, all solutions must transition to App Cards to remain supported.

Comprehensive migration resources and guidance will be provided ahead of the sunset, ensuring a smooth transition for partners and customers leveraging this capability.
