HubSpot is a complete CRM platform that provides every tool you need to pursue business growth. Goals such as increasing leads, accelerating sales, streamlining customer service, or building an eye-catching user-friendly website can all be achieved with the help of HubSpot’s software.
HubSpot has been through some significant changes in recent years. From only offering paid licenses to bringing out a raft of features for free, this is a company that doesn't standstill.
In addition to their free CRM software, HubSpot now has five different paid hubs you can choose from, depending on your business’ needs. They are:
Below we give you a brief overview of the pricing structure of each Hub.
The free CRM is an excellent (and cost-effective) place to start for any business looking to centralise and store their customer data. While the tools aren’t as comprehensive as the paid hubs, they are great when your business is in its early days. These tools are completely free and HubSpot promises it will stay that way forever. If you decide to start using one of the paid Hubs in the future, you will still be using HubSpot’s free CRM as well.
The CRM is at the core of all HubSpot products. It’s cloud-based, so can be accessed by your team in real-time from any location. It synchronises with Outlook and Gmail so you can add contacts to it straight from your email inbox. A timeline shows all the interactions your team has had with the contact so you can create seamless and effective interactions with your customers and prospects alike.
It’s not just the CRM that’s free. Sales, Marketing, and Service hubs also offer free versions of their program with limited features and capped usage.
This comprehensive digital marketing solution is delivered as a cloud service and will catapult your marketing to a new level. As it's integrated with the CRM, delivering personalised marketing messages has never been easier. With all of the tools you need, including emailing marketing, campaign automation, as well as transformational SEO tools, you will be able to reach and resonate with your audience like never before.
Before we get into the pricing for each Marketing Hub tier, you must know about marketing contacts. Marketing contacts are the people you send marketing material to, such as marketing emails and targeted advertisements via HubSpot. Any other contact is referred to as a non-marketing contact and you can store these in your CRM for free. You have a total limit of 15 million contacts (marketing and non-marketing combined). Every tier of the Marketing Hub comes with a set amount of allocated marketing contacts. Should you require more, this will come at an additional cost to your business. This cost varies depending on your tier and how many additional contacts you require. We’ll explain this further below.
Also, once you have selected a contact tier for the month (or year), you will not be able to downgrade your number of marketing contacts until your contract renews. You can, however, change marketing contacts to non-marketing contacts whenever you need to. Whoever is set as a billing contact in your HubSpot portal will be notified within 24-48 hours when your number of marketing contacts reaches 75%, 90%, 98% of your tier, and when it exceeds your current tier’s limit. This gives you plenty of notice to remove some of your marketing contacts should you not wish to pay extra.
Essentially, the more marketing contacts you need, the less you pay per thousand additional marketing contacts. See the below chart:
MARKETING CONTACTS | BILLED AT |
First 1,000 | AU$0 |
1,001 to 3,000 | AU$67.50/mo per 1,000 |
3,001 to 5,000 | AU$58.50/mo per 1,000 |
5,001+ | AU$52.20/mo per 1,000 |
EMAIL SENDS | RENEWS |
5,000 (5x your # of contacts) | Monthly |
You’re allowed 5,000 email sends per month (5 times that of your marketing contacts). Bear in mind this is based on the number of recipients for your emails, not the number of times you click ‘send’.

HubSpot’s powerful sales tools are geared to accelerate your lead generation efforts. But it’s not just generating more leads, it’s more quality leads. Also, with clear sales pipeline management, tasks, and reminders, you’ll never miss a follow-up and no leads will slip through the cracks.
The difference between a free and a paid user is the level of access granted. Essentially, free users have very basic access and can carry out administrative tasks. Whereas, paid users have unlimited access to meetings, sequences, quotes, and more to make their daily work seamless.
If you’re looking to take control of your company’s website and want full control of changes and updates then CMS hub is perfect for you. With features from easy drag-and-drop elements, to secure HTTPS hosting, HubSpot's website platform is the perfect alternative to WordPress, Squarespace, and Wix.
For any of the CMS Hub tiers, you can increase your included API call volumes for your integrations between your HubSpot account and other services to up to 1,000,000 calls per day. Doing so will cost you an additional $720 per month (AUD).
Operations Hub connects your apps, syncs and cleans your customer data, and automates your business process, alongside various other features. Your entire company will be unified around your core product or service, allowing your operations team to step away from repetitive tasks that are no longer necessary with HubSpot’s tools.
If there are multiple hubs that your business could benefit from, then a bundle is the best option for you. By bundling multiple hubs together, you will save significantly. HubSpot offers bundles that incorporate each of the 5 paid hubs in their three tiers.
Starter bundle is priced at $75 per month (AUD) or $809 per year (AUD). This includes all 5 paid hubs on their starter tier. This represents a saving of $2,831 per year (AUD) versus buying all 5 separately.
Professional bundle is priced at $2,561 per month (AUD) or $27,621 per year (AUD). This includes all 5 paid hubs on their Professional tier. When compared with buying these independently it represents a saving of $18,817 per year (AUD).
Enterprise bundle is priced at $86,455 per year (AUD). This includes all 5 paid hubs on their Enterprise tier, which is HubSpot’s premium offering. When compared with buying these independently it represents a saving of $65,705 per year (AUD).
Much like when looking at each hub individually, if you require either more marketing contacts or additional paid users you can calculate the price using HubSpot’s pricing calculator.
As you can see, HubSpot's range of solutions isn't limited to one area of a business. From marketing to sales and service, the entire flywheel of customer interaction and business growth is covered. Start-ups, SMEs, and Enterprise level businesses can utilise HubSpot’s extensive range of tools to grow their organisation. You also receive the peace of mind that, should your business grow, HubSpot can grow with you.
